Vasiliki I. Koufi

Vasiliki I. Koufi received her degree from the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus in 2001. In 2003, she obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from Brunel University in London, specializing in "Data Communication Systems." Since 2003, she has been a doctoral candidate in the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus. Since 2002, she has been working at the Network Management Center of the University of Piraeus, focusing on the development and management of voice and data networks as well as network services management. Since February 2009, she has been a lecturer under Presidential Decree 407/80 in the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus. Since 2000, she has participated in various projects related to the development of Health Information Systems and other network applications, as well as the development and management of telematics applications and services. Her research interests focus on pervasive and ubiquitous health systems, service-oriented network-centric health information systems, health information systems security, Personal Health Record systems, and related security issues. Ms. Koufi has authored research papers in her field, which have been presented at international conferences or published in international journals, and has contributed chapters to books. She also has an excellent command of the English language.
