A small coastal town in Croatia, in the 1960s. It all starts with a brand new
bag. It's white with blue stripes, with a yellow fish in the middle and it belongs to little Dora, who today is her first day at kindergarten. Luca had never seen anything
so beautiful before! The five-year-old is so fascinated that he forgets to breathe and faints. Dora kisses
the unconscious boy to revive him and they become inseparable - until one day in September when Dora moves with her parents to Paris and leaves Luca in Croatia.

Sixteen years later they meet in Paris. Dora, who has fulfilled her dream of becoming a theater actress, is taken by some friends to the opening of an exhibition. The artist is Luca...
