This manual approaches interdisciplinarily and targeted the institutional and functional dimensions of the management of medical technology equipment and machines of Biomedical Technology in hospitals.

The content is analyzed in twelve chapters with the aim of further searching for specific knowledge in a research-oriented way, which maintains the timeliness of information.

The thematic analysis covers the cognitive interest of all specialties that, exactly as required by modern hospital management, deal with the management and organization of equipment either directly, such as administrative staff, hospital pharmacists, clinical engineers, and administrators, or indirectly, such as doctors, nurses, midwives, medical device technologists, radiology technologists, physiotherapists, etc.

Through references to the management practices of the two major hospital managements, namely the Procurement Office and the Hospital Pharmacy, as well as the operation of the Clinical Engineering department, the bibliographic knowledge of the employees and those involved in hospital management are utilized and enriched.

The purpose is to improve the economic dimensions of hospitals, provide higher quality healthcare to patients, and enhance the effectiveness of collaboration among employees in an increasingly globalized healthcare environment.
