The novel is based on the autobiographical narratives of a real person. Indeed, to a certain extent, the events described are real, as well as the places that constitute the geographical setting of the plot, and many of the historical and other characters mentioned, either by their real name (Antondsaous, Konstantinos Konstantaras, Major Miller, Konstantinos Karamanlis, Georgios Rallis, Evangelos Averof, Kostis Stefanopoulos, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, etc.) or by another name. The author's purpose is, using History as the canvas of his composition, to mainly talk about the emotional adventure of his heroes, who had the well-paid privilege to participate - either as protagonists or as extras - in dramatic historical events, mainly in Eastern Macedonia, and to suffer the painful consequences of their involvement in them.
