"Cage" is what Felix called that tall house in Bristol, where Pigeon lived with her landlady, the beautiful and talented actress Angel, and Angel's daughter, Lizzie.

Trapped in an unhappy marriage, Felix has a passionate relationship with Angel and finds in the women of the Cage all the tenderness and warmth that his possessive and jealous wife denies him. But as Felix becomes more and more attached to this second family, he fears that one day he will be forced to choose: the carefree life in the Cage or his son, Pierce.

And that day comes when his wife discovers the infidelity and blackmails him to leave Angel forever.

Many years later, Lizzie decides to find Felix again and finally meets Pierce and the rest of the family - a family with open wounds that can only be healed with her help.
