The body of a Greek partisan that has been preserved in the refrigerator for many years after his death becomes the subject of study at an American medical school. The incisions on his body are transformed into incisions of History itself. Vasilikos, creating a Kafkaesque atmosphere around an anatomy lesson, teaches us more about history than we could learn from a historical account of literature. It is an excellent example of the fusion of history and literature.
